Rodney's Roundtable (September 15 from 10:00-11:00am in Tate 142):
Dr. Rodney Bennett, Vice President for Student Affairs, wants to chat with members of the Division to kick off the new school year. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Vice President around a variety of issues.
Tour of Ramsey Workout Facility (October 8 from 2:00-3:15pm in Ramsey):
Get a personal tour of the new Ramsey workout facility! Fitness experts will demonstrate how to operate the exercise equipment and will answer any questions you may have to help you feel comfortable exercising in the new facility.
Using SALDOs to Enhance Your Programs and Services (October 27 from 12:00-1:15pm in Tate 482):
This session serves as an overview of the Division's Student Affairs Learning and Development Objectives, known as SALDOs for short. Learn practical ways SALDOs can be used to enhance your programs and services. Join us for this interactive session and build your skills in assessment.
Stop the Press: Strategies to Improve Communication with the Media (November 17 from 12:00-1:15pm in Tate 482):
The media can be a strong ally to student affairs professionals, promoting positive aspects of our work and providing critical information in times of crisis. Many student affairs professionals do not realize the potential of this relationship and may get caught off guard when contacted by media in response to controversy. Learn how to effectively communicate with members of the press and get accurate and potentially favorable coverage.
Sustainability 101 (December 2 from 12:00-1:15pm in Tate 482):
Sustainability is a popular buzzword in higher education, but what does it mean for our daily work? This session will introduce the basic concepts of sustainability and offer ways you as an individual and as a member of your department can infuse sustainability principles into your work and home.
